CBT: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps us understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours shape us, giving us tools to challenge unhelpful patterns and build healthier ones.
The Third Wave of CBT goes a step further.
It blends traditional CBT with mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based approaches, recognising that not every thought needs to be changed, some need to be noticed and accepted with compassion.
We are not our thoughts. Part of my integration therapy I use are third-wave CBT techniques.
